Laboratory
Study on Longshore Sediment Transport Processes at
the Large-Scale Sediment Transport Facility This study
focuses on improving our capabilities of predicting
longshore sediment transport rate. In a broader
scope, this study aims at improving our
understanding on coastal sediment transport
processes. The recently established Large-Scale
Sediment Transport Facility (LSTF), the largest and
best equipped in the world, offers a unique
opportunity for conducting cutting-edge research on
fine-scale coastal sediment transport processes.
The CRL is working toward developing this program
into a long-term collaboration between the U.S.
Army Corps of Engineers and the University of South
Florida on graduate research and education. LSTF-related Publications (CE paper) (JCR paper) (JCR paper2)
