Beach Morphodynamic Research
The USF Coastal Research Lab has been conducting research on morphodynamics of beach-dune system for over a decade. Our research includes both field and laboratory studies on beach-profile evolution, beach nourishment performance, and wind-blown sand transport.
Research and publications include:
JCR
Hydrodynamic Conditions Associated with an Onshore Migrating and Stable Sandbar
JWPCOE
Beach-Profile Evolution under Spilling and Plunging Breakers
CE
Immediate Profile and Planform Evolution of a Beach Nourishment Project with Hurricane Influences
EPL
Horizontal Water Trap for Measurement of Aeolian Sand Transport
